East and West shopping requirements.
Dr Earth Health Foods
311 King Street
Sells a terrific selection of organic fruit and veges down the
back of the shop. You'll find hidden vegan gems at this place.
Hard-to-find items include: delicious vegan muffins fresh daily,
Naturastyle hair colourant (not tested on animals) and an
assortment of unusual vegan chocolate.
Janet's Pies (previously known as Shakespeares, then Jesters)
283 King Street
Janet's two famous vegan pies are back!
Both Vegetable Curry and Thai Broccoli and Potato are now fully
vegan (again) as well as the new vegan gravy, peas and French fries
(small $2.50, regular $3.50).
Pies are also available frozen.

Known for their Curried Pumpkin Bites, Lentil Burgers, Homemade
vegan Falafels and Brown Rice Vege Burgers. Not to be missed.
Macro Cafe

This used to be Juiced Rawbars, but has now been replaced by Macro
Cafe, an organic omni cafe. Display cases clearly specify which
items are vegan and vegetarian - such as rice and tofu balls,
roast veggie rolls, salads, and vegan desserts.
Alfalfa House
Just off King Street at 113 Enmore Road
Rates a mention. Community Co-Op. Minimum packaging. Bring your
own jars. Wide range of organic fruit and veges. Bulk

V. Thien Vietnamese Restaurant

The old name for this restaurant was Celestial Palace which was
totally vegan and well frequented by the local vegan population.
All mains at Thien are vegan, but some of their dessert items
contain dairy.
