Vegan Society NSW stall at UTS Green Week 10am - 2pm Monday 3 June 2013 UTS Tower Building 1 University of Technology, Sydney Broadway Organiser: Vegan Society NSW The Vegan Society NSW will be promoting veganism to students and staff of UTS during Green Week. We will have a stall in the concourse level of the UTS Tower Building 1 (the main tower) on Broadway. Held in collaboration with UTS Union, TAFE NSW Sydney Institute, Ultimo College and ABC Ultimo, Green Week is a full week of events, competitions, prizes, talks, debates, displays, stalls and more. From 3-7 June 2013 it coincides with World Environment Day on Wednesday 5. If you are in the area, please drop in for a conversation, information or just a chat.

Vegan Potluck Lunch 1:00pm Sunday 26 May 2013 Killarney Heights (Northern Sydney) Organiser: Vegan Society NSW This is the first potluck lunch for a long time, so it should be very popular. Bring a vegan dish to share with like-minded people at Jean and David's house in leafy Killarney Heights. The Garigal National Park and Middle Harbour are a few minutes away, so you can combine the potluck with a stroll through this beautiful harbourside park. Public transport: Catch the 278 bus from Chatswood Station at 12:45pm and get off at the corner of Connemara Avenue and Starkey Street and then its just a short walk. What to bring: Please just bring a vegan dish to share. There is no need to bring plates or utensils. There will be tea and coffee, so please bring any other drink if you would like it. Vegan summer party, Newtown 7.00pm Saturday 9 February 2013 $15 for vegan food, juice, waters BYO alcohol. 28 O'Connell Street, Newtown Organiser: Vegan Society NSW The last vegan BBQ party at David's was a great success, with lots of happy people enjoying vast amounts of delicious vegan food, dancing and general merriment. We are having another party so come and celebrate Summer with us. David's house is a lovely vegan sanctuary in a freshly renovated terrace in a quiet street, right in the middle of Newtown. There are several seating areas inside and outside, so you won't be tied to the one spot all night. Limited space, so book early! World Vegan Day potluck picnic, Centennial Park, Sydney This event has been cancelled due to a clash with the Rally to end Factory Farming. 12:00 noon, Sunday 11 November 2012 Lachlan Reserve, Centennial Park, Randwick Organiser: Vegan Society NSW To celebrate World Vegan Day, the Vegan Society NSW is hosting a vegan potluck picnic in Centennial Park! Vegan Illawarra picnic at Kiama Produce Markets 12:00pm Saturday 27 October 2012 Black Beach Park Shoalhaven Street, Kiama Meet at the northern end of markets on Shoalhaven St. If the weather is inclement, we will go to a cafe. Organiser: Vegan Illawarra The Illawarra vegan picnics are proving to be very popular. Hope you can join us this time, it's been wonderful to catch up with everyone, share the markets, produce and recipes, as well as take in the beautiful view of Kiama Harbour. Vegan Illawarra covers the area from Milton to Helensburgh, so this event is half way between. Meet for a picnic, bring a plate to share, enjoy the beautiful harbour, the markets and the great company. If the weather is inclement, we will go uptown to a cafe. The picnic coincides with the Kiama Produce Markets which go from 8:00am to 1:00pm. Local grown fruit and vegies, breads, etc.. Vegan Society NSW stall at Sustain Expo 10am - 6pm Saturday 21 July, 10am - 5pm Sunday 22 July 2012 Organiser: Vegan Society NSW The Vegan Society NSW will be holding a stall at the Sustain Expo and we are looking for volunteers to help out. This should be a fun day where you can hand out leaflets, sell vegan books and T-shirts and talk to an interested audience about the benefits of veganism. Volunteers also needed for the Trade Fair on the Friday. Our stall will be in the "Making A Difference Zone", along with other progressive groups such as Friends of the Earth and Oz Harvest.
